Water therapy for weight loss involves drinking several glasses of water in the morning upon waking up from sleep. This is to help maintain good health and promote weight loss.   1. The first is to drink 4 to 5 cups (180-mL) of room-temperature water or warm water on an empty stomach when you wake up in the morning. Then spend 45 minutes before any food or drink. At the initial time of the therapy, you can begin with 1–2 glasses and increase the amount gradually. Cold water water hardens the fat and oil in your body. This slows down the normal digestion in the gut and causing disease.
  2. Take each meals for 15 minutes at a time, with a break of at least 2 hours before you take anything else. Risks Associated with Excessive Water Intake

This water therapy is not without risks especially when taken beyond the amount the kidney can handle.

Water intoxication, also known as overhydration, occurs when you drink too much water over a short time. This lowers the sodium in the blood by diluting it, leading to nausea, vomiting, seizures, coma, and death if not properly managed. However, this is not common. People with kidney problems are more at risk. We encourage people to drink not more than the kidneys can carry and filter. Usually not more than 4 cups per hour.
